Studio blu launched a new blog!

Studio Blu has done a lot for me over the last couple of years. They took me under their wing and taught me a lot about what it takes to be a working photographer. They recently launched a new blog so I decided to dedicate this week's post to showcase some of their recent work and promote their new site

The photos below are from a wedding they shot recently in the Ozarks. I think the work that Holly and Walter do is amazing. These photos prove that.

Ice Cream Casualty

This week I was honored to see that Instagram featured one of my photos as a winner of their #WHP - Weekly Hashtag Project.  I've been entering these contests for a while and I was super excited to see that I had won a coveted spot amongst the winners. 9 photos were chosen out of 12,000 that entered! I also posted the photo to Reddit and I was shocked to see it blasted off to the front page and was viewed over 850,000 times in 24 hours. My inbox has been blowing up and my Instagram went crazy. Insanity. It just goes to show that it never hurts to put your work out there. Even if it's a silly picture of an ice cream cone that your daughter dropped in the back yard. Since the photo has gotten such a response, I decided to make a print available for sale. There are several different sizes available. It might look good hanging on the wall in your kids room!

Rhymesayers vinyl record spines

I linked up with the fine folks over at Rhymesayers Entertainment to photograph their entire vinyl catalog. As a long time fan of the label, it was cool to work with them on this project. It took a lot of gathering from different collections to put the whole thing together. Some of these are test pressings, some are unopened, some have been used and enjoyed over time, but all their releases are represented in some way in this picture.
