I was walking my dog yesterday when I noticed the pond near my house was really full and had spilled over the banks surround a big group of trees. I knew I had to grab my camera and wade out into the water to try make a picture. This is what I ended up with. I shot this short, spur of the moment behind the scenes video on my phone to show my camera settings, and how I got the image.
How good looking is this family? Corey Gerlach and I have have been friends, band mates and business partners for going on 15 years now. It's crazy to think about how much time we've spent working on things together. I snapped this impromptu family portrait while we were walking around in Minneapolis this weekend. I love the look on little Cleo's face.

I got to direct and edit this short documentary on the Native American Community Development Institute (NACDI) located in South Minneapolis, Minnesota. I tried my hand at a few techniques that were new to me with this piece. I certainly learned a few things along the way. This was a fun one to make.
